The best kept secret in music

"Their live act is one of the best rockstar performances I've seen since Head Automatica last January. Their lyrics and melodies are on point. Their guitarist is sick-Just listen to the EP intro I have straming below. They are more original than most of the punk on MTV and just as addictive. Im already anxiously awaiting the full albumn - David Pessah

"A punk outfit that had the entire place packed wall to wall and singing along with every song. Made me embarrassed I didnt know the words. Tight and upbeat these guys can throw the hooks. They were polished and interacted well with their audience - Mike Ferrari

"Commit Your Lies to Suicide" EP

Feeling a bit camera shy

Doubleheader is a creamy blend of musical ingredients that can be described as Musical Freedom. Comprised of four fun-loving, life-long friends that have been making music together since High School, DH is emerging as an integral part of the 2nd wave of Long Island Punk/Post-hardcore bands, blazing down a trail paved by scene veterans such as Taking Back Sunday, Brandnew and Glassjaw not too long ago.
Since their inception in the summer of 2004, the boys of DH have built a modest and loyal Long Island following with little to no support outside of themselves and their rabid fans. The band has spent the past 2 years crafting their live show by playing endless local shows, and traveling out of state as well, while winning new fans over the process. The ever spreading buzz of DH was witnessed most recently in August of 2006, when DH had a EP release party that they had sold over 300 tickets to.
In the spring of 2006 they enlisted Producer/Engineer Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed and Cambria, The Sleeping, Straylight Run, Etc.) to helm their debut EP, "Commit Your Lies to Suicide". Armed with a fresh EP that's full of catchy sing-a-long choruses, hook laden guitar riffs, and a tight live show that forces even the slightest fan to sing along, DH plan on riding the aformentioned 2nd wave for the long haul with their DIY ethic and relentless drive to be the next undiscovered band, you discover.
