DOUGH BOY

DAVID "DOUGHBOY"CRAVENS- A life of drugs, thugs, jail, drinking and playin left Doughboy with little hope of ever reaching his full potential. His own high school teacher told him he would not live to see 25 years of age. Family and friends predicted a life of prison. The words "You will never amount to anything" became the standard calling of his life. But JESUS SAID DIFFERENT! Because of a praying Momma, and the Love of our Heavenly Father who heard those prayers, Doughboy's life has become a living testimony. The true miracles have been that drug/alcohol overdoses have "technically" taken his life twice. In all of his dealings with the police and the record he bore, God has had his hand of protection over him, all along preparing him for the call He had for Doughboy to fulfill. God had always been there tugging at the heartstrings. Eventually, those heartstrings made way to his head, and he made a true change. He always knew of Jesus and his love, because his mom was always telling him about it. At times he thought he was being force fed Jesus, and other times, he wanted the Lord in his life so bad it hurt. He knew in his heart he needed to change. But it wasn't until he got to the point where he was able to renew his mind, and realize that he had to not only submit his life, but he must convince his mind as well that Jesus was His Lord and Savior. God finally had control of his heart and his mind, and his spirit began to grow. A new love for the lost began to rise up within him. God could now use Doughboy to go and reach the lost. From his tattoos, his scars, and his life experiences, he could now relate on a newer level to many people who couldn't be reached by the church. A true love of music inspired him to begin to put his experiences to pen, and thus began his ministry. Now a devoted Christian, husband & father, Doughboy is "BACK FROM THA DEAD", ready to rhyme, preach and tell of JESUS AND HIS LOVE!!! Doughboy was quoted to say, "I use my rhymes to share where JESUS brought me from!!! JESUS LOVES U NO MATTER WERE UR AT OR NO MATTER WHERE U BEEN!! My music is real. It tells of my past and where JESUS has brought me from. I will always kick that underground flavor!! I'm just a trailer park kid with lots to say!!!"
