Bad Choices

Written By: Doug Jones

Bad Choices

I can see you dancin in the moonlite
I can see him holdin you so tight
And my teardrops fell like rain
My teardrops fell like rain

Can't blame you for leavin me
Should've known better and believed
That you were leavin me for good
Leavin me for good

Made too many bad choices
Disregarded good voices

I'm out here on my own
Not knowin where I'm goin
And I miss you now you've gone
Miss you now you've gone

Made too many bad choices
Disregarded good voices

Fade Out

Roarin

Written By: Doug Jones/Ann Liesten

“ROARIN’

I’m a ramblin’ man who’s born and bound to roam.
When I get my band together
Then the highway is my home.
Got a lovin’ gal who loves me well
And lets me do my stuff,
I’ve got rock-a-billy roarin’ in my blood!

I’VE GOT ROCK-A-BILLY ROARIN’ IN MY BLOOD!
I CAN FEEL THAT ENGINE REVVIN’ UP THE WIND AGAINST MY SKIN.
AND IT’S HARD TO TELL WHERE THE MUSIC ENDS
AND THE REST OF ME BEGINS,
(cause) I’VE GOT ROCK-A-BILLY ROARIN’ IN MY BLOOD!

You can have your 9-to-5; it ain’t my style.
I look forward to my music,
Ev’ry minute, ev’ry mile.
I don’t want to drive no fancy cars
Or dress in fancy duds,
(cause) I’ve got rock-a-billy roarin’ in my blood!

CHORUS: R E P E A T

BRIDGE: I want to feel the winds of change
Blowin’ in my face.
And I long to see what life unfolds
As I move, from place to place.

CHORUS: R E P E A T

VERSE: Well, I’m drinkin’ up the thunder of the crowd,
And I thrive upon that feelin’
When the music’s rockin’ loud.
And there’ nothin’ that can take the place
Of the music that I love
I’ve got rock-a-billy roarin’ in my blood.

CHORUS: REPEAT

Tequila, Salt & Lime

Written By: Doug Jones/James Broydell/Dave Jones

Tequila, Salt and Lime

She was lost when he found her all alone at the bar
He rescued her from loneliness, he was her shining star
She didn’t want to rush in, but she longed to know that touch
She felt a spark of passion, she just didn’t know how much

She thought that he could love her, maybe for all time
She toasted their new friendship with a shot of tequila, salt and lime

He would spend the nights with her, but in the morning he’d be gone
She just held him tighter and wondered what was going on
When his phone started ringing in the still of the night
The caller would just hang up, she knew something wasn’t right

She thought that he could love her, maybe for all time
She brought the memories back with a shot of tequila, salt and lime

His mystery still lingers on
Her lust for love has come and gone

He was gone when she woke up, it’s been one year to the day
The note left on his pillow revealed the words he couldn’t say
It said, “I never really gave up on the life I left behind
I feel I need to go back and give it one more try”

She thought that he could love her, maybe for all time
She fought back the tears with a shot of tequila, salt and lime

I Can Always Use A Beer

Written By: Doug Jones/James Broydell

I Can Always Use A Beer

I can’t always use the VCR
I can never drive a stick-shift car
I can’t always use an ATM my dear
but I can always use a beer

I can’t always get to work on time
I can never wisely spend a dime
I can’t always take the news I hear
but I can always take a beer

I can always use a beer, bring another round over here
go ahead and fill the table
I can always use a beer, bring another round over here
and I’ll drink ‘em when I’m able

I can’t always play my old guitar
I can never be a great big star
I can’t always like the songs I hear
but I can always like a beer

(Repeat Bridge)

I can’t always use the VCR
I can never drive a stick-shift car
I can’t always ride a big John Deere
but I can always use a beer

but I can always use a beer (Repeat Out)

I Lived For The Pain

Pretty Peggy Olsen was a total teenage terror
Nothing like the lady Mama hopes their boy brings home
Could of been the love child of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker
When you hitch your wagon to her star it's going going gone

(Chorus)
I never was as crazy as the ladies I was dating
Blondes redheads or brunettes all of them were half insane
Seems I took more pleasure in these daughters of ol Satan
Good girls were never good enough I lived for the pain

The next in line Megan Weiss she fit the mold perfect
The daughter of a Preacher and a demon through and through
She was never meant to be the wife of a Carolina farmer
No one horse town could slow her down it was true, true, true

(Chorus)
I never was as crazy as the ladies I was dating
Blondes redheads or brunettes all of them were half insane
Seems I took more pleasure in these daughters of ol Satan
Good girls were never good enough I lived for the pain

(BRIDGE)
When I'm gone just let my stone tell the world my story
Don't candy coat the messsage keep it short and plain

(Chorus)
I never was as crazy as the ladies I was dating
Blondes redheads or brunettes all of them were half insane
Seems I took more pleasure in these daughters of ol Satan
Good girls were never good enough I lived for the pain

These Old Boots

Written By: Doug Jones/James Broydell

THESE OLD BOOTS by D. Jones/J. Broydell

I’m looking up, I’m looking down
I’ve been looking for you all over town
Where are you hiding now
You got me sighing, and crying, and how

These old boots are in cahoots
They always keep walking back to you
These old boots have a mind of their own
They always keep walking me back home

I hear tales of what you do for money
I think you know how I feel about that
I hear things that make me feel funny
I think you know what to do about that

These cowboy boots been around for a while
Weathered tough times together, never cramped my style
Been an uphill climb, been stuck for a dime
Weathered tough times together through rain or shine

(Lead Guitar Break )

These old boots are in cahoots
They always keep walking back to you
These old boots have a mind of their own
They always keep walking me back home

I hear tales of what you do for money
I think you know how I feel about that
I hear things that make me feel funny
I think you know what to do about that

These cowboy boots got holes in the soles
Walking down these streets in the cold
Waiting and watching for you to come back home
Hoping and praying that you’ll stop the roam

These old boots are in cahoots
They always keep walking me back to you
These old boots have a mind of their own
They always keep walking me back home

They always keep walking me back home

Millie

Written By: Lonnie Ratliff

Millie (They Never Come Back)

Millie sits there in her rockin' chair
At the Choctaw Old Folks home
Sittin' there soon as the sun comes up
Rocking til it's almost gone
The head nurse tells her Millie
It's time for supper then bed
Millie don't bother to argue
Just keeps singing under her breath... Oh

(Chorus)
They never come back like they say they will
Out of sight, out of mind when they're over the hill
It's like they don't mind who they leave behind, It's no big deal
They never come back like they say they will

Millie lost a son in Viet Nam
And a daughter to a demon drug
Uncle Sam gave the boy a medal
And Millie gave both of 'em love
Now they're lying in the cemetery
And Millie's singing into the wind
Mem'ries live on forever
But they won't be back again ....No

(Chorus)

And a daughter to a demon drug
Uncle Sam gave the boy a medal
And Millie gave both of 'em love
Now they're lying in the cemetery
And Millie's singing into the wind
Mem'ries live on forever
But they won't be back again ....No

(Chorus)
They never come back like they say they will
Out of sight, out of mind when they're over the hill
It's like they don't mind who they leave behind, It's no big deal
They never come back like they say they will

(Bridge)
Millie's spent her lifetime . . .telling those she loves goodbye
They're all gone, she's all alone, so it's either sing or cry... No

(Chorus)
They never come back like they say they will
Out of sight, out of mind when they're over the hill
It's like they don't mind who they leave behind, It's no big deal
They never come back like they say they will

It's like they don't mind who they leave behind, It's no big deal
No they never come back like they say they will
