Douglas Bramwell accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at the tender age of thirteen while attending the Berea 7th Day Christian Church in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, where he served as Director of Music for the Jamaica Mission of 7th Day Churches, Sabbath School Superintendent and Youth President. In Jamaica, he was involved in many other Ministries outside his home church including Manager of Light of Life Ministries, Co-founder, Public Relation Officer and Lead Vocalist of Portmore Vision Gospel Choir, Lead Vocalist of Faith Gospel Band and an ardent member of the Sons & Daughters Ministries under the leadership of Mrs. Delva Roberts. During this period, he had the honor of sharing stage with the World Renowned Pastor Shirley Caesar, Alvin Slaughter, Sandi Patty, Helen Baylor, Papa San and many local top Jamaican groups and artistes.
Douglas migrated to New York in January 1994, where he served as Director for the Youth Choir at Victory Tabernacle Church (Headquarter of Jamaica Mission) in Harlem, New York. He later gained a Scholarship to Harlem School of the Arts, majoring in Sight Reading & Basic Piano.
Over the years, Douglas has gained challenges, experience and the delight of working in the Music Ministry in various areas and churches in New York, Connecticut and Florida. These are:
• New Testament Church of God, East Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York under the leadership of the late Pastor Arscott.
• Musician and Interim Organist at the Eastchester New Testament Church of God, Bronx, New York under the leadership of Reverend Devon Dixon.
• Former Member of Beulah Church of God 7th Day, where he served as Youth Vice President and Assistant Youth Director, Praise & Worship Leader and Music Coordinator under the leadership of the late Pastor Reuben Johnson and Pastor Headley Deacon.
• Coordinate and Oversee the Music Department of Mount Vernon New Testament Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Clifford Thompson.
• Minister of Music for Refuge Temple New Testament Church of God, Bridgeport, Connecticut under the leadership of Bishop Courtney Williams.
• Presently serves as Director of Music and Couple’s Ministry Advisor for Gateway Church, Fort Lauderdale, Florida under the leadership of Reverend Noel G. Hyatt.
Douglas, a Registered Member of Ascap presently is working on his very first project entitled “Endless Praise” a Praise & Worship project with a variety of different music which includes the sweet rhythmic sound of reggae, gospelypso and soothing contemporary beats.
Douglas is a gospel ambassador and he really enjoys entertaining and watching everyone have a great time. He recently join forces with two of his friends (Trevor Morton and Cecil Codner) to establish South Florida's Newest All Gospel Sound System - Divine Jam of which Douglas is a DJ. Divine Jam provides sound for churches who can't afford to hire "The BIG" guys but want real good quality for their concert, wedding reception, parties, gospel jams, etc.
With his journey, Douglas maintains a posture of holy expectations. He thanks the Lord for what He has done, is doing and marvel at the great things He has in stored for him and his family. He depends on the Lord’s direction of his path by trusting in Him fervently through prayer and fasting.
Douglas is blessed with his beautiful wife Jackie and a gorgeous daughter Dori-Ann Lorraine.
