Lyrics

Two Eyes

Written By: Douglas Scott

I've been livin' down my road,
Carry'n another load.
You've been burnin' in the sun,
Dyin' on a moonshine run.
Makin' all my little plans,
Hopin' that you'll understand.
While you cry your way back home,
Know you'll never be alone.
Take the time to realize,
Life's about some compromise.
Open up your own two eyes.

I've been chasin' elephants,
Workin' on a good defense.
You've been in your bitter roots ,
Unravelling your winter noose.
Take the time to realize,
Life's about some compromise.
Open up your own two eyes.

You are freedom, you are sunrise,
You are love that never dies.
You will live ten thousand lives.
See 'em through your two eyes.

Time will come when you will know,
Where the winter roses grow.
Rub the pedals in your hands,
It'll seem like it was planned.
Take the time to realize,
Life's about some compromise.
Open up your own two eyes.

You are freedom, you are sunrise,
You are love that never dies.
You will live ten thousand lives.
See 'em through your two eyes.
Two eyes...

I Am, We Are

Written By: Douglas Scott

Your face is framed by Venus,
Jupiter and Gemini
The sand is ours between us,
Mother Earth and sky.
I can taste the sea upon your lips,
And know all that is in you.
'cause a kiss is never just a kiss,
And one and one was never two.
I am, We are.
You are, I am.
I am, We are.

I won't feel, I won't fall, 'cause I promised myself.

We can walk as if we're empty,
But you put your hand in mine.
Can say it wasn't love that sent me,
But that's just another line.
I can play the cassanova,
or you could play the jezebel.
But it's seems we're to have known us,
An there's deep water in the well.
I am, We are.
You are, I am.
I am, We are.

I know I never feel when I want to feel,
But when I don't want to that's when I feel,
And I say, I won't feel, I won't fall, 'cause I promised

myself.

We can walk into a picture,
And dance across the page.
It's an inebriating mixture,
Being the sinner and the sage.
I can taste the sea upon your lips,
And know all that is in you.
'cause a kiss is never just a kiss,
And one and one was never two.
I am, We are.
You are, I am.
I am, We are.

I won't feel, I won't fall, 'cause I promised myself.

Ten Thousand Jennys

Written By: Douglas Scott

Ten thousand Jennys say they prefer
A lonsome sunrise to marriage.
Sad as it may seem, so Jennys disagree.
They waste away in pair bonds.
Realtionship savants,
They are the coming of a star,
That's actually a comet.
And they are plummeting, plummeting...
Ten thousand Jennys on the head of a pin.
Ten thousand bennies step in.
Uppers or Man, some Jennys abandon their plans,
And unhand them to all that's within.
Every one of those ten thousand Jennys.

Ten thousand Jennys say they prefer
a Maggie picture to mothering,
Sad as it may seem some Jennys can't agree.
They die away in loveness.
Desireless and dry,
They are the coming of a star,
That's actually a comet.

A death bed sonet to farewells.
True as it may be, most Jennys disagree.
They wish away their wanting.
Deperate in ther strength,
They are the coming of a star,
That's actually a comet.
And they are plummeting, plummeting...
Ten thousand Jennys on the head of a pin.
Ten thousand bennies step in.
Uppers or Man, some Jennys abandon their plans,
And unhand them to all that's within.
Every one of those ten thousand Jennys.
