Douglas Watson R&B Revue

Douglas is the son of Lovie Lee, Muddy Waters last piano player. Douglas grew up listening to rehearsal with his dad and players which included, Howlin Wolf, Big Walter, Koko Taylor, Willie 'Big Eyes' Smith. Douglas spent 9 years as the bass player for the late 'AC Reed' & The Sparkplugs. These influences and pedigree, have shaped Douglas and band into a second generation powerhouse, which does original material and covers with the proper delivery and feel of the masters. Vocally Douglas has been described as one of the best Blues/R& B Vocalists anywhere, featuring a rich, textured baritone voice. Since moving to Canada, Douglas & partner Mississippi Pete have kept the band progressing at a steady rate. In 2007 it was Toronto Blues Society 'New Talent' winner. In 2011 their CD 'Broken Hearted Man' was nomiated for a Maple Blues Award. The recognition of the talent in this band is just beginning to be recognized. At last count we have been played in at least 12 countries on FM, satellite radio or internet radio streamers. This is just the beginning!
