Bio

Doug Ratner is a pretty amazing 19 year old. He picked up his first guitar at two, and by the time he was a sophmore in high school he was gigging with pros. He is featured in the November 2006 Grammy Magazine!

When he was a junior in high school, Doug Ratner was headlining sold-out shows at the famed Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, Mass, and was studying with Joe Beck and Jack Wilkins.

Doug now studies at SUNY Purchase, and his teachers include Todd Coolman, John Faddis, and the great John Abercrombie.

Jimmy Cobb -- "the best drummer in the world" -- has befriended the young Doug, and the two continue to gig together.

As Greg Adams of Tower of Power says, "The future looks very bright for Doug Ratner. His versatality shines through every aspect of his singing, playing and songwriting."
