Bio
Doug Wieder - 4th generation Denver native and current resident, singer/songwriter, CPA with MBA (Anderson School at UCLA).
From the beginning, my heart has called me to music and my mind to the 10-key. For better or worse the 10-key has paid the bills while music has entertained friends and family. Now as husband to a wonderful wife and father to the perfect son, my heart is screaming and the 10-key is old.
Although drawn to music from an early age, it wasn't until college at the University of Colorado in Boulder that I learned how to play guitar. My first song ("Dare to Succeed") quickly followed and ended up salvaging a B in creative writing. From that point on, life has written my songs: an apology to my mom ("Whisper Wind"); a book ("Razor's Edge"); relationships ("Not Gonna Call You"); my wedding proposal ("Proposal").
I believe my songs reflect a little of my life in Colorado - 14,000 foot peaks, Aspen trees in fall and quiet streams. Most songs include a message to strive for bigger things (I just need to listen to them). All come from the heart.
I should probably include a huge thanks to sonicbids for offering this site. It has at least inspired another run at a dream.
