Today I'm listening to Doulos' "One Reason," off of the forthcoming album One Reason.
Doulos Tou Kuriou is a New Testament Greek phrase that, means servant (of the Lord). Doulos - aka Kifani Thompson, is no newbee to the music industry. His first album release was in 1992, at the age of 15, as a member of the IBS Hunters. A falling out with the label and then the rest of the group resulted in Doulos thinking about his salvation, but his church days didn't last long. It wasn't until 2000, after the birth of his third child, that he realized that life without God wasn't really life. Today Doulos just makes music. Since his life is dedicated to Christ, his music is simply an expression of that dedication.
