DOUR was originally formed in Portland Maine in the spring of 2004 by Guitarist Derric Stevyn and Vocalist Jon Carpenter our sound is unlike anything else in the local music scene possibly coming from the wide variety of music we each listened to growing up. Some how we have taken the sounds of modern Alternative, early metal such as Black Sabbath, Punk Rock and Doom Metal and combined it all to create DOUR
