When I make music I put a piece of myself into it. The process of creating a good song is just that, a process. You should not just be able to say anything and as long as it’s put on top of a good beat it is guaranteed to sell, and this is what has happened to the music industry, Hip Hop and R&B especially. It has become so mediocre that exceptional lyrics are forced to dumb down there lyrics in order to retain a fan base. This is a problem that I plan to fix, or at least set the wheels in motion for it to be fixed. I plan to follow in the footsteps of artiest like Ne Yo, the Dream and Ludacriss, and help them restore the life back into hip hop.
