Bio
Down With May is a contemporary alternative rock group from San
Francisco, California. Since 2012, Mike Endoso (vocals/guitar), Nick
Nassab (guitar/vocals), Scott Kirkwood (bass/keys), and Joey May (drums)
have been gaining recognition for their highly energetic live
performances. 2013 was dedicated to a rigorous performance schedule that
circled the Bay Area. With a collection of influences spanning
many genres, Mike, Nick, Scott, and Joey worked hard perfecting their
sound in their first two years as a group, centering melody, dynamics,
and musicality as the foundation for their ever growing catalog of
original music.
Their anticipated self-titled EP was released
Sunday, June 22nd. Produced by David Minard, the record highlights the
best of their first few years as a group. The compilation brings a
diversity of sounds, clever arrangements, memorable hooks, and an
original vibe, signature to Down With May. The shows to support the
release of the EP promise to be new and expansive. With the addition of
synthesizers, electronic drum sounds, and growing pedal boards, the
group continues to explore electronics. Always creating and moving
forward, the near future is bright for this young band.
