Down by Riverside

Christian Bridges and Henry Nozuka are adopted brothers that grew up with music flowing in each moment of their lives. Both having music deep in their bloods, they began their artistic experience by attending The Etobicoke School of the Arts. Both pursuing different artistic forms at ESA, (Visual arts, and Dance) it wasn't until they graduated that they decided to pursue a career together in a musical outlet. Weekly they began playing open mics around Toronto, and found a home at The Free Fall Sundays at the Supermarket in Kensington. They began to uplift a community and become a part of a movement filled with Positive, Conscious Vibrations. Soon enough they reconnected with High School friend and now Humber guitarist Ben Foran and very quickly after, the band came to existence. Next came local Reggae bass player Johnny Kulwartin (Righteous) and Humber drummer Alex Sowinski. It has been only 1 year since the band has formed, yet they have managed to play to packed houses at Local Toronto venues and have begun to create a growing frenzy of followers in the Toronto Area, and through their online presence around the World. Recently after their Release of their first EP "Down by Riverside, From the Ground Up", they finally have something to sell at shows, and the path is opening up for them to travel and continue to spread their message and Music. Venues that they have played in Toronto include Lee's Palace, Lula Lounge, El Mocambo, The Supermarket, and The Opera House to name a few.
Influencial artists that we look up to would undoubtedly be Bob Marley and the Wailers, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Police, The Beatles, Sublime, Jeff Buckley, Justin Nozuka, Stevie Wonder. and many many More.
