Since January 2005 Downfire has shared the stage with national acts such as Testament, Zebra, W.A.S.P., Metal Church, Overkill & The Misfits from venues as close to home as the well known “Chance” in Poughkeepsie, NY to clubs in surrounding states from Massachusetts to Florida.
In a world of music where it’s impossible to sound uninfluenced we embrace our diverse tastes in music ranging from one members love of old school metal, vocal and guitar harmonies to another members love of the accents and unpredictable structure of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Black Eyed Peas. This has allowed us to reinvent our sound into a band that when listening to you can hear the various influences but not define by only one.
