Down For Five is a four piece metal band from Tulsa, Oklahoma that has achieved a unique sound, blending modern groove heaviness with old-school flavoring. Soaring vocals, shredding guitar work, thumping bass, and thunderous drums are interwoven into Down For Five's material, creating its own sound


Down For Five is a melodic metal band out of Tulsa, Oklahoma comprised of vocalist Syke Mochek, guitarist Janna Jordan, bassist Scott Squires, and drummer Jester.

Formed in spring of 2002, Down For Five released a four song EP later that fall, which was very well received by local radio stations and fans in general.

The band also released a DVD in December of 2003. The DVD, produced by John Russell of the Tulsa-based band Admiral Twin, includes a ten minute documentary (also known as an EPK) containing interview footage with each band member, three full length videos, and an outtakes section.

Down For Five is currently playing shows in the Tulsa and surrounding region in support of their brand new album "Time Has Come" which was released April 4, 2006 on Sunset Trash Records. Visit for more info.

Set List

Our typical set list, if doing all originals, is generally an hour. If combining our originals with our covers, we have over 2 hours of material. Covers range from Judas Priest, Fear Factory, Gary Numan, Motley Crue, Faith No More, and others.
