Bio

DOWNintheFIFTH is a band comprised of California, Washington D.C. and Seattle musicians who were brought together to form the latest addition of the Seattle sound. Drawing from many influences, DOWNintheFIFTH credits the 90's Seattle and Los Angeles music scene for helping shape their sound. Travis Kaiser (Vocals) was born in Seattle Washington, but moved to California at a young age where he has studied guitar with some of the best musicians on the west coast. After spending many years in the Northern California music scene as a lead guitarist, Travis decided it was time to come back to Seattle and form his own band as the lead singer. Travis's voice influences range from Scott Weiland to Lane Staley to Jonathan Davis. His raw, hard driving vocal talents well compliment the talents of Kevin Brooks, Robb Wagoner and Paul Cary (Bass). Kevin Brooks (Guitar) Born and raised in the Washington D.C. area, Kevin began playing the guitar at the age of nine after his discovery of music with the violin. In 2004 Kevin moved to Seattle to form a band and become part of the Seattle music scene. Shortly after his move, Kevin met and collaborated with Robb and Travis to form DOWNintheFIFTH Robb Wagoner (Drums) Robb comes from all over - Alaska, Oregon, Ireland, then Seattle. Playing the drums since his teens, he loves the expression and power of the drum kit. Being the drummer for in DOWNintheFIFTH is a natural fit: the driving guitar, heavy bass, and powerful vocals are the perfect compliment to his driving, raw, hard hitting style. After 6 months of Travis playing bass and singing for the band, Travis decided to just concentrate on vocals and find a bass player. After many un successful auditions, it became apparent that they were not having any luck with finding a bass player who would be a great fit. They met Paul Cary who was attending a Down In The Fifth show with one of the bands friends and said that he liked the band so much, he would play bass. After meeting Paul after the show, we knew he was right for the spot. With all members in place, DOWNintheFIFTH is set for major success.
