In 2001 back on the French Riviera after severals years spent in Los Angeles , Mark decide to call an old friend named Tom , an experienced drummer in the area and start working together on a material made of power rock originals only . Four years later they are joined by a bass player named Chris who brought a very interesting mood to their music. DOWNLITE was born.... Evolving from american grunge to britpop , mostly influenced by Bands like Nirvana , Green Day , Metallica , Marilyn Manson , Muse , Led Zeppelin , Deep Purple and The Beatles as well , DOWNLITE worked hard and within few months composed more than 12 originals and played a few gigs over the local scene . In october 2005 DOWNLITE start the recording of their first five tracks demo ... In 2008 , POP a guitar player from Naples (Italy) and LUCA a young but talented bass player are added !! The band is now attempted to get gigs and start to think about recording His first LP
