Bio

Tricky and the Andrews live in an abandoned Axe Factory town called Collinsville (Canton) in rural CT. All three members of the band work and run a music store weekly, practice, gig, and record religiously at night. They first met playing jazz and covers, but soon created their unique original sound.

Weekly bar gigs and jazz sessions keep their chops up while entertaining the local scene with their original music has began to grow their fan base with ease. Patrick Allers (guitar/vocals) has an intriguing voice, mesmerizing and smooth yet gritty and soulful. . Andrew Decker (bass) is influenced by Victor Wooten/Stanley Clarke/Jaco Pastorious and can lay down the funky fast slap grooves at the same time keep a solid low end and rhythm while harmonizing with Allers on vocals. Magennis (drums) a classically trained drummer can play anything from jazz standards/funk/hip hop/rock and electronic. His influences range from Billy Martin/Phish/ to modern Drum n Bass.
Each musician is skilled on several instruments which helps with the song writing process. The three listen to completely different types of music from one another which is why together they sound so fresh and unique. They all share a major love for the Beatles and are influenced on a daily basis by all genres of music during their work hours while teaching at the music store. The array of beats, excellent vocals, and the knowledge of music plus composition is what really separates this band from any old group with a normal chord progression, 4/4 rock beat, sweet gear and a capo. They live and breathe music on a daily basis and survive just on music. Their live performance is high energy and captivating along with their sense of humor and stage presence that draws the audience right in. This is the kind of group that breaks down walls of genres and can be appreciated by all generations of music fans.
