"THE WATERSHED, EDITOR'S PICK."

"Recorded in the same studio in Austin, Texas that has seen such artists as My Son My Executioner and Exit the King, The Watershed delivers brave hard-edged rock. What I really love about this band is that they skirt pop-punk and hardcore but come close enough that they could be almost lumped in there. But the reason they cant is they avoid the clich├ęs that plague both genres. Vocally it bounces from huge harmonies to growling almost yells showing off a unique dynamic. The guitars are just damn huge punctuated by punchy percussion and low-end groove. ... Its only a matter of time before the fellas in charge of that little tour thats Warped will be salivating over Down-Stares and offering up an opening slot." - smother.net

"AN EXCELLENT MARRIAGE OF SOUND AND CONCEPT"

"A concise vision brought to life and put on display before you. ... High energy from 'GO!'... Unique melody combined with well executed music, the break down(s) will make you want to avenge something! ... Pure and honest ... Powerful and identifiably deep ... Dangerously disturbed and frenzied. This masterpiece is an excellent example of a marriage between sound and concept." - SEAN SINISTER :: The Advance

"DOWN-STARES = Intense."

"With influences storming in from all across the map, these aggressive/experimental artists are constantly evolving and reaching for new horizons to explore. They are there own unique genre described in a word... intense." -- Review on DOWN-STARES; Author unkown. - Unknown

DOWN-STARES
2000-2007 THE MOVEMENT CONTINUES...
-----
We have been passionately pursuing the advancement of this movement since it all began in the summer of 2000. In that time we've played somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 shows all around Texas and the surrounding region. We've met, shook hands with, shared the stage with some of the most inspirational, hardest working bands in America.

We have positively influenced young artists who have matured into amazing artists. We have sacrificed. We have been shit on, disregarded, talked down to, and blown off... and still we push forward.

We have independently released (with the help of Motion E Records) four albums, sold out of more than 25 T-Shirt designs, broke the top 10 at the Austin Music Awards in two catagories after only playing that scene for a little over a year.

We've done radio interviews, newspaper interviews, & have had Editor's Pick reviews on our latest album (The Watershed...). We've swallowed our pride, gone without eating, fainted, cried, thrown up, & had our van break down several times. We've driven through the desert on the hottest days of summer with no air conditioner.

We've seen sights so beautiful that words can't describe: like the way the sky looks as the rain pours down on the setting sun in El Paso; or the breaktaking view of the forest mountains in Arkansas on a cold & overcast day. We've played to thousands, we've played to ten. We've been electrocuted (on stage), we've lost all power in the middle of a set. We have lived.

We've been blessed to have the best family, friends, & fans that anyone could ever ask for. We've given everything. And... we're still persuing.
