Hailing from Tumbler Ridge in Northeastern BC Downwater Union has a sound that is both hard to define, yet comfortingly familiar at the same time. The band is comprised of the remaining members of Heavy Things, and have been playing across Northern BC since 2007. 2008 saw them open for Theory of a Deadman at Grizfest, while the next year they were the Friday Night Headliner at the Kispiox Music Festival.
In 2012, one of the members left to pursue his career, and the three remaining members began woodshedding, writing new music and refining a new sound, changing their name to Downwater Union. The band has been gigging across the north for the past two years, and is hoping to perform more festival gigs in 2015.
The band will be releasing a handful of new songs to show off their evolving sonic repertoire that they hope to share with music lovers from near and far. Festival and show organizers looking for an energetic act to light up the stage and heat up their crowds, look no further.
