Bio

Deeply rooted in Lexington, Ky., D. Page, born David Page, draws from life’s experiences using it as fuel for his masterpieces. However, it was not always his dream to become an artist.

Warming his pipes as a nine-year-old boy in church was just the beginning.

Page was playing the drums and keyboard and composing by the age of 12.

“People always told me I was supposed to be doing something with music,” D. Page said, “but as a kid I just never wanted to take it outside the church.”

Music was something he did for personal pleasure. However, once he realized people were latching onto his music, D. Page decided it was a love he wanted to share with the world.

“When I changed poems into songs it made me feel like that’s when people could understand me.”

Being raised in the church, while living an underprivileged life, gave D. Page an honest but raw approach to music.

What started as a book of poems artistically became music and a key to his future.

It was life’s experiences that allowed him to expand on his dreams and take his career to the next level, joining RawKey Productions in 2001.

His beats creep through the body like cold chills soothing the ears to the raspy seduction in his vocals. From playful to sexy, his lyrics cater to every occasion. A hidden moan and touch of sincere yearning behind his voice brings D. page front, centered and personable, creeping into bedrooms, next to fireplaces and between bodies on the dance floor.

As one of the freshest songwriters who has hop scotched across the albums of several local artists, this singer, songwriter and producer is featured on DJ Smallz’s “Southern Smoke” Radio Tour Mixtape.

Continuously growing in his craft, D. Page wants to become one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time, transcending all genres.

“Don’t sleep on me.”
