Five seasoned musicians meet by chance, all with great ideas, and talent to write and play hard driving Rock and Roll. It's time to enter the world of the "Dragenfly"!!

In the summer of 2002,former Dirty Love drummer Randy Richtmyre answered an ad posted at a local music store by Tom Klein. Tom the former guitarist with Intrepid and Bastard Cousin got together with Randy and "Dragenfly" was started. Their tastes in music were very similar and the more they played together the smoother it became. Next came former Third Rail and Wrath lead vocalist Patrick McGrain, and were later joined by former Trisect bassist Karl Grom. After a few months of rehearsals the band started playing gigs and developing a very good following because of their high energy and dynamic Rock and Roll shows. During this time period the band started to write and perform their own originals. In early 2003 the band went into the studio and recorded a four song demo that was released in 2003, and did very well in the local market.
The band played hard for the next year and a half at venues in WI. and Il. all the while still writing more original songs. In the Fall of 2004 the band took a break from doing shows and went back into the studio to record a 12 song CD "In The Beginning". When the band finished recording the CD our bassist Karl, decided to leave the band and move on to do a different project. The band now went on a long search for a new bassist.
On Jan. 9, 2005 the band welcomed former Blu Steel bassist Ronnie Blaziewske to the band. Ronnie brings to the band a whole new set of great ideas for new songs and a much higher level of energy to our fans. So keep an eye out for a follow-up CD to our debut CD "In The Beginning". Now Dragenfly is back on the road in support of their debut CD due out on 4/29/05.
On December 21, 2005 the band welcomes Jason Kent to the bands ranks. Jason brings youth and great writing ability to the band along with his awsome guitar playing.
On May 11, 2006 long time Dragenfly Guitarist Tom Klein parted ways with the band. We would like to thank Tom for many years of playing with Dragenfly through all the good times and bad. Good luck on your future endeavors wherever they may lead you.
As Tom Klein leaves the band the band welcomes Adam Schmitt on Guitars. Adam is a very talented guitarist who has played for many years with Jason and is going to a great attribute to the band. Adams and Jasons previous experience playing together with the band Scenario will impress the long time DRAGENFLY Fans.
Dragenfly is a group of seasoned musician's with many years of music under their belts, and never fail to please a crowd. Their musical influences of bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeath, Queensryche, Disturbed, The Beatles, Areosmith, Lynch Mob, The Rolling Stones, Yes, and Cheap Trick, can be heard in some of their Hard Rocking Originals. It also gives the band a very diversified list of Cover songs to chose from and change up the show from night to night.

A storm grows on the horizon.
Thunder and Lighting loom!
Storm sirens wailing....
Warning of Tornado doom!
Thunderheads are growing....
They start spinning, round and round.
Rain and Hail are falling....
As the funnel drops out of the clouds!

Tornados coming....
You'd better get out of the way.
You'd better seek shelter....
If you wanna live another day!

And now the sound is deafening.
Like a freight train in the night!
This great cyclonic vortex....
Cutting through everything like a knife.
Then it's all over....
Destruction's everywhere!
Then the deadly silence....
As death fills the air!

Oh Lord, is this happening?
Oh Lord, can this be?
Oh Lord, can this be happening?
Is this my destiny?

Better watch out people, cause here it comes down outta the sky!
You'd better run for cover, if you don't wanna die!

Born Into Eternal Life

Written By: Dragenfly

Time seems to slowly pass me by
since you left that day.
Does peace surround you in the heavens?
Do the Angels play?
There were so many things to say...
but you were called to go.
I cry' cause I wished I'd took the time...
just to let you know.

That I miss you. I wish you were here.
Can you see me? Do you sense all my fears?
I've got your spirit alive in my heart.
I still feel you though were worlds apart.

Can you see the things that you are missing?
I can't see the things that you will find.
I don't know if you can even hear me.
I guess I'll find out when I'm born into eternal life.

The things you taught, I learned so well.
I miss the love you gave...
at times disappointment in your eyes,
but you were there to stay.

Can you see the things that you are missing?
I can't see the things that you will find.
I don't know if you can even hear me.
I guess I'll find out when I'm born into eternal life.
Born into eternal life,
Born into eternal life.

The day you left your eyes said,"good-bye".
A sadness slowly reigned...
I know someday we'll meet again.
I know you'll feel the same...
