". . . A performance by a popular progressive rock band called "Dragged Below" caused a huge crowd to make quite a commotion. With their high toned singing and low, fast rhythms, this band really got the crowd going.
Time had run out for "Dragged Below," and yet the crowd wanted more. They even blew out one of the amps but managed to make it through their set, winning over the crowd in the process. All in all, the night was full of energy, filled with people of all ages, just looking to have a good time . . ."

We have had the songs on "The Chosen EP" played throughout college radio stations in California such as University of The Pacific and Chapman University.
Our song "The Chosen Ones" received a small amount of airplay during the local hour on 106.7 KROQ and has also been submitted for possible use in the new animated "Transformers" series.

Dragged Below is centered around The Brothers Chapman - Jeff (guitarist), Kevin (bassist) and Brian (Drummer). With the rhythm section in line, Derek Martin stepped in to play guitar alongside Jeff and Matt Bartosch (a long time friend of Brian's) took his place as lead vocalist.
They've played such well-known venues as the world famous Whisky A Go Go, The Galaxy (RIP), The Gig- Hollywood, B.B. King's - Universal Citywalk, The Derby, The Joint, etc. They competed for a spot in the 1st Annual So Cal Rock Revolution and successfully earned a spot aboard the Queen Mary, showcasing their music - a blend of heavier elements (Opeth, Meshuggah) and clean, melodic elements as well (Queensryche, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden).
It's rare, in our current music scene, to find a heavy band that isn't afraid to sing along to the guitars instead of growling or screaming. While such bands have influenced the members musically, they've always wanted to have a melodic vocal approach.
