Bio
DRAINBOWS was first formed in Oklahoma City, OK. The band started with psychedelic, kraut, electronic, and punk influences. The first record was completed in 2014. It was produced by former Uglysuix (Touch and Go Records) member Kyle Mayfield and featured a song that was later included as a single with a music video created by Delo Creative (Flaming Lips-video director). The band received a short radio promotion with the single 'Silvertrain' and immediately started working on a new record.
The band made its performing debut in Norman, OK at Norman Music Fest. The band performed as a trio with a bass player and an electronic producer. The band performed songs from the first record 'In Drainbows.'
The band was relocated to Austin, TX and has been performing for since mid 2016. They just recently released a cassette containing songs from a second album and a few songs from the first. They are currently expanding regionally and locally all over Austin.
