Bio

Draped in Green is a newly formed Pop/Blues duo comprised of Alex and Jenn, two singer/songwriters from opposite sides of the pond. Alex grew up singing and strumming away in London while Jenn grew up singing and strumming away in Philadelphia. Both had their sights set on New York City, where they would eventually meet and realized that the only thing better than one singing, strumming, songwriter are two singing, strumming, songwriters.

Their influences include Otis Redding, Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, and Ella Fitzgerald. Their music goes from red to black to white to sunny yellow to blue and of course, to green.

Many people wonder why a Pop/Blues duo would call themselves Draped in Green. Well for one thing, why not? Lots of fun things are green. Like money, trees, 4- leaf clovers, environmentally friendly people, Kermit the frog, brussel sprouts, green lights, Greenday, Edamame, Emeralds, Green Eggs and Ham….

And in some languages, no distinction is made between green and blue anyway.

Aside from being committed to the color green, Draped in Green is very committed to the songwriting craft and their music. In the past year they have been sponsored by Rocawear for the Tainted Blue Secret Sessions and have even opened up for Steely Dan. They are currently in the studio working on their debut EP with Cutting Room producer Eshy Gazit.
