"D'Ras New Album Matters of the Heart Scheduled to Release Summer 2013"

For all with an appreciation for good music that crosses all genres, prepare to fall in love. Dameon D’Ras Anselma’s new album Matters of the Heart is scheduled to officially release on 7/26/13. His first album Reggae Train released in 2010, came from humble beginnings, but received rave reviews. With the assistance of Grammy-award winning producer, Madukwu Chinwah—Erykah Badu, N’Dambi, Snoop Dog, Raven Symone, etc—D’Ras has come back stronger than ever with his sophomore album. With special guests N’Dambi, T-Lacy, Liza Ellen, and Madukwu Chinwah himself, there is something for everyone to love.
Born in the West Indies island of St. Kitts, D’Ras fell in love with music at a young age. His performances throughout his teenage years with all-male R&B singing groups, Genesis, and Sudden Impact in the Netherlands Antilles, helped prepare him for his future role as the leader of the Dallas, TX based reggae band One Love Uprising with whom he performs with weekly. D’Ras musical influences are Bob Marley, Beres Hammond, Morgan Heritage, and Gregory Isaac. However, due to his diverse background, his music incorporates the sounds of r&B, gospel, hip hop, and pop.
After an on-air interview with D’Ras in early July, DJ GQ of ZIZ, a popular radio station in St. Kitts, has frequently played music from the prerelease album and plans to continue promoting the album after the official release of Matters of the Heart. The response from listeners has been promising, as they anxiously await the release of the album on iTunes and Amazon. Performances for the album are scheduled for Fall 2013.
