Dread-Z-Ge'ez, of Street-Soul-Jah(z):

Dread-Z-Ge'eZ, born Marcus Sawadie-Jacob Francis (aka Negus Dread(z) Grew up in Seattle, Wa. Puget Sound, North-West-USA. In a Jamaican Household foreign to the nuances of American culture. Reasoning with elders of many backgrounds and ethnic origins/mixtures. Dread(z) Cyphers roots of self and community. He was born July 12th 1987; In a house in Seattle's Historical Central District. Were his family owned and operated a Restaurant  "Times got tuff and we're forced to leave the Central." We were homeless for a while then moved to South Seattle. Since we've been pushed all throughout the Greater Seattle Area its been hard keeping true hombres. So to solidify self and commune with lost associates and like minded souls "Dread(z)" along with "SG" have maintained the creation; the dynamic sensation known to the public as "Street Souljah(z)".

Music, and food being the environment of our tutelage. We started to "Chat" or "Cypher" at a young age  anyplace InI could enhance rhetoric, vocabulary and delivery. In addition our Father's Guidance as a Caribbean DJ often giving insight to the art of the evolution of music. 

Creating anything; is not and easy endeavor. Without instructions, and experience one often gives up. Dread-Z-Ge'ez, at a young age through the tutelage of Elders learned of the Drums of Nyabingi. The drums pay tribute to our Creator, and of Akebulan (Africa); Mankind's homeland. Nyabingi is the life line and commonalities are found throughout the tribes of man. "In short I became a Bass addict, having fond memories of sleeping next to the monitors (Speakers) at Reggae festivals our father Catered, or MC'd for." says Sawadie .
