"DreadedKnuckles tonight at the Speakeasy"

YAKIMA, Wash. -- I’d been meaning to get around to the Dreaded Knuckles CD all week.

But it just sat there on my desk until about an hour ago. So now, with less than five hours to go until the band takes the stage at the Speakeasy in downtown Yakima, I can say with some certainty that I’ve never heard anything quite like them.

These guys from Selah play a mixture of metal and reggae — I’m dubbing it “Rasta-thrash” — that I’m sure can straight-up fill a club with sound.

If you’re looking for something to do this evening, they start at 9 p.m.

Bang ya’ head, mon.

Bio

DreadedKnuckles was originally formed in the small town of Selah. Chris, originally from Oly relocated to the area to help put this project together. DK started with Chris and Nigel (former drummer) whom had jammed together in the past. Jesse who coincidentally was a good friend of both men started playing with the guys. The three of them started creating new music aswell as completing music that had been in the works. Soon after their became a dire need to add a bass player to complete the project. Along came Cody, a talented guitarist, bassist, and vocalist. With all the members in place it was time to entertain. After throwing a couple of house parties to ensure people liked what they heard it was time to play for bigger audiences. The locals loved it, leading to bigger and better shows. This team of guys puts everything into their music and leaves nothing on the stage. After all the hard work of writing, playing, and perfoming it was time to make an album. With the debut self titled record being finished their was nothing left but to travel around and share the message . Thanks to all that have shared this experience with us.
