Dreaded Sunny Day

BandRockPop

Dreaded Sunny Day is a Washington, DC-based band playing the music of The Smiths, one of the most influential indie acts of the 1980s. The band's upbeat and witty shows feature well-known songs, fan favorites, and obscurities in an electric or acoustic format.

Biography

The eclectic group that makes up Dreaded Sunny Day is comprised of seasoned musicians who have performed in various original bands throughout the east coast and found a shared passion for the music of The Smiths, a band that has long inspired each of them. By day each has a professional calling ranging from bike racing and 3D animation to Arabic translation and sound engineering, but in their off-hours this foursome makes up one of the definitive tributes to the premiere British indie band of the 1980s.
