Naming some of their influences as, such legends as Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aerosmith, Genesis, to more current greats as Macy Grey, Lenny Kravitz, Johnny Lang and Kid Rock of all people! So you can see their tastes are very diverse.
Having played on the same stages with such artists as Bad Company, Yes, Pat Travers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Robin Trower, Kix, Guns and Roses and many more throughout their career,
DreamSpill will be appearing in venues in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and FLorida and there is talk of a European tour next spring!
DreamSpill is made up of 5 very talented performers, DreamSpilllive is none less than great, relating to the everyday people, or Blue Collar if you will, all having been, its easy to conceive.

Latest single release to hit the air is "Going to the Superbowl" a Carolina Panthers tribute song, which aired on WRFX The Fox 99.7 and was the most requested song of the week of superbowl 38. The 5 song EP "Waking Up” is now available from giggeybelk enterprises.
Gig Michaels, the bandleader, has had several releases in his career with as many bands. The most notable would be the 1999 self-titled release from "Plain James" out of Nashville TN. Gig partnered with Charlie Adams, the drummer from Yanni for the Plain James album and then a solo release from Gig in 2000 on Wild Oats Records.
1984 - 1986 Steel Rage.... CMC Records
Gig's 1st band ever " Steel Rage" based in Raleigh, NC! Heavy Metal at its finest! Gig produced this album with Bennie at CMC recording studios in Zebulon, NC. The 8-song album titled "Cease the Fire" reflected mostly political views of current events at the time. A 4-piece outfit
Gig was the Guitarist and writer of the album.
1986 - 1988 Gypsy.... Articulate Records
Gig formed this 5 piece rock n roll band called "Gypsy" based out of Myrtle Beach, SC. eventually moving to Charlotte, NC to record a 10 song album titled "Sunshine" at Reflection Studios. Again Gig was the guitarist/writer. Little success
had come before the band split up!
1989-1993 J Train..…. Independent release
The band, "J-Train" a five-piece rock group based in Raleigh, NC had a lot of success and touring with the 10 song self titled debut "Jeddiddiah Train", "J-Train for short". Gig co-produced this album with Michael Gardner (Multi BMI Songwriter winner) as well as did all the writing and guitar work with the exception of a couple tracks. This album went on to sell
big in the overseas market as well as regionally in the states.
1994 - 1999 Plain James.... Independent release
Gig moved to Nashville, TN and hooked up with drummer Charlie Adams who had just left Yanni in search of something his own. So "Plain James" was formed, this time Gig was on lead vocals as well as lead guitar. This 10-song album debuted in early 98 and has done well with no promotion! On this album Gig played all of the guitar tracks, bass tracks, some percussion, as well as wrote all of the songs. Co-produced with Charlie Adams.
1999 - 2001 Gig Michaels...Gigmusic LLC

Down to earth everyday life lyrics expressed over smooth and groovy tunes. From high energy to sweet emotions its all there. A very unique front man "Gig" sets this group aside from the rest. His charisma and attitude come across wholly on stage. With 3 part harmonies in place, this group is a must hear and see. Some of the influences noted are Zepplin, Aerosmith & beatles to name a few. Having this kind of influence coming across in a modern southern rock template makes for some really interesting and tasty music!
