Bio

Dredgeseven has been rocking the Northwest coast for over 13 years hailing from the untapped state of Alaska! They have performed with the likes of LA Guns, Adema, Dryst and many other top named musicians as well as numerous local talent.

The band was started by Frontman DJ Arau and bassist Jason O'Dell in 1992. They would go through various drummers and bandnames such as Rotton Thoughts, Frostbite, Apathy, The Ruckus River Band, Bone Yard Project, and Blackbox before finding Kendal, who in turn, would complete what is now known to be Dredgeseven.

DJ Arau originally hails from Haverhill, MA, where at the age of 7 his mom packed up the family to get out of the projects and head north in search of a better life. DJ got his start in the music business doing sound for his mother's country band only to meet big named musicians who would take DJ's unorthodox guitar sound to the next level. Growing up in a house full of studio musicians, there were always instruments lying around for DJ to play.

During his formative years, DJ met Jason, who much like himself, came from a musical background. It wasn't long before DJ and Jason were discovering their own style and sound together.
Along with Jason's brother Jessie, they were soon jamming at every house party and illegally playing in the local clubs. Soon after, they broke into the local club scene at such places as the Ragin Cage, The Underground, Gigs Music Theater, Pier St. Annex, and Chillkoot Charlies. The determination of the boys, (and the need for money) had them go to extreme measures when forming the southern
rock band, "The Ruckus River Band." DJ had to designate Dave Colson, the singer/promoter
of "The Ruckus River Band", as his legal guardian, and Jason had to obtain a fake ID, to enable them to play in the bars. Dave was also responsible for bringing DJ and Jason on their first major tour.

Jason O'Dell, was instrumental in every project except when tragedy struck, in 2002, causing him to leave the band. He would soon be back in 2003 with dominating baselines of fury which can be heard on the self-titled Dredgeseven EP.

After recording the record, DJ pilgrimaged to the East Coast in search of special representation that matched the personal goals of the band. After speaking with numerous labels, and living off of Tuna and Bologna for a year, DJ found an Independent label that was willing to offer Dredgeseven what they had always been looking for.

After a year and a half, Dredgeseven, with the help of Landry Records, Inc. is well on its way to making a name for itself in the music industry!
