"The Eggs came First and the Chickens Followed"

Eggs come in many forms: boiled, poached, scrambled, raw, and well...quiche. Rarely, though, do eggs come in the form of sound, presence, and the unrivaled ability to charm the spirits of adoring fans. For those of you who haven't heard of Dr. Eggshell, get on the wagon because its filling up. Many people won't listen to a new artist unless they can be compared to a household sound. Unfortunately, I can't do the man justice by comparing him to someone else because I might be hindering the doctor's message and his talent. Dave Whitton has a powerful yet charming depth that could seduce the minds of women and men alike. His appealing sound is rich, complex, and touching during songs such as Manic Peaches and Doctor. He could probably sing in a stadium setting with 20,000 fans sans microphone. The sound he creates is moving, spiritually and emotionally. Eggshell's a breath of fresh air in an age of music that has desperate music lover's searching the internet and garage sales for new sounds that might be buried away beneath the earth.
I wish I could sum things up with words, but I can't. Get out and see this guy so you can brag about following him before he became a household name.

DW and the DLP is the duel antifolk act of Dave Whitton (Eggshell Egoz), and Pedro Shanahan (DLP). Two colorful characters with a knack for storytelling.

Whitton is the middle child of 6 musical siblings. He began singing at the young age of 5, walking to school, daydreaming. He soon started playing trumpet touring elementary schools throughout Reno, until he found theater. From 8 until he was well into college, Whitton racked up over 80 productions, both musicals and modern theater, including Balou the Bear, and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.

He moved to LA in 1998 and met David Walker. The two collaborated to form Eggshell Egoz. Eggshell has been a household named for years putting out their third full length album, Naked, this Oct. Working with a major producer, Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Tony Levin, Terry Bozio) and playing with headliners such as Quincy Jones, Killola, Raining Jane and Gavin Rossdale has brought Whitton full circle to recording his first solo album "Ready for the sunshine" which will be released in the Winter of 09'.
