'Dremnt The End' is another musical success in helping Austin maintain and grow its reputation as the Music Capital of the World.. This band is as good as anything I've heard on any rock station in the last couple years. Did I hear a little Clash? Maybe some Psychedelic Furs? Maybe some Cure? Maybe. What I heard was loud and strong and great rock. The packed crowd at The Parish thought so too.
Their new self-titled CD just came out and is available at Waterloo Records
This was an extremely well done show made more interesting by some cool lighting, effects and a fog machine. Nice job!

Over the past few years, Dremnt the Ends rhythmic, polished brand of modern rock has pushed and elbowed its way onto the list of Austins top rock acts, surpassing a number of their more well-known peers and converting masses of the music capitols fans and musicians along the way. The groups propensity for riotous, danceable rock songs and live performances that leave heads ringing and feet tapping for days has made Dremnt the End one of the most exciting rock acts Texas has to offer. Their new self-titled record, recorded at famed Sonic Ranch Studios in El Paso, TX, is a rock masterpiece that generously showcases the bands uncanny ability to mesh epic rock vocals and guitar with driving, danceable rhythms. The result is a swell of infectious rock songs no true rock fan will be able to resist.
One of DTEs goals has always been to deliver the most amazing live show possible. Teeming with passion, grit, and energy that make it all but impossible to stand still, DTEs live shows are nothing short of phenomenal. Given the level of their craft, Its no wonder that the band has shared the stage with a wide range of national acts, including The Bravery (Island), Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (Virgin), Scary Kids Scaring Kids (Immortal), June (Victory), Meriwether (Suretone/Interscope), Family Force 5 (Maverick/Gotee), Luna Halo (American), Fair to Midland (Universal), Showbread (tooth and nail), and Alesana (Fearless). The only predictable thing about DTEs shows is the question, Why havent I heard of you, which has become the typical reaction from fellow musicians and fans alike.
And its a good question indeed. The band has over 12,000 myspace friends and thousands more via other outlets. Austins influential alternative rock station 101X and Houstons 94.5 The Buzz feature the bands music regularly. Local video production company Suited Productions has produced five music videos that are in regular rotation on Austins Music Entertainment Television, and have been featured several times on Red River Rocks. DTE has also been featured on News 8 Austin by prominent DJ and Music Writer Andy Langer. The band also boasts features on national television and film, most notably CNBCs American Made, which featured three of DTEs songs in four of their episodes. Robin Nations movie, The Waters Edge, also featured DTEs music.
It seems fairly obvious that, whether you have heard of the band or not, Dremnt the End is a name we are all going to be hearing a lot more often in the future.
