Bio
I picked up my brother’s unused 3/4 nylon string guitar at the age of ten and never stopped strumming. After getting some instruction from local music teachers in those formative years, I struggled on my own to figure out what I wanted out of playing guitar. I traveled with several bands up and down the Oregon Coast playing in venues ranging from small clubs to opening for bigger act in arenas.
After some time studying music at Mt. Hood I learn that I had a weakness in the areas of music where jazz was concerned. I ended up taking some lessons in solo jazz guitar from John Stowell, one of if not the best at his craft. Under his direction I grew much of my style and gained the strength of knowing what I want to do with music.
Finally, I ended up at Berklee College of Music were I broke my right arm and thought that my musical career was all over. My teachers suggested some time off and I went to visit a friend in Japan. While there my arm not only fully held, but I ended up buying a guitar and nice combo amp to play some shows while I was out there.
I now reside in Los Angeles were I produce and compose music for many projects and play in several high profile bands.
