Bio

It's hard to come across the perfect blend of powerpop and rock these days. But when you stumble across someone as talented, and with such a fresh sound as Drew Neely, you know you've hit the jackpot.

For one thing, Drew Neely is a persistent songwriter, having written over three-hundred songs to date. Every song telling it's own story, spilling out it's own unique lyrics.

To Neely, the two most important factors of a song are it's groove, and it's melody. And these two characteristics, are never shorted in any piece of his work.

Apart from his indescribable talent for writing fresh, and attention-grabbing lyrics, Drew is capable of picking up any instrument you put before him, and rolling out some sort of new and unique sound.

And that is exactly what's raking in listeners from all over the world. It doesn't matter what he's playing, or what he's singing, Drew always has something new, and never heard before. Every line of every song has his heart and soul poured into it, making it more sincere, and more enjoyable to his listeners.

He is guaranteed to indulge you in his amazing powerpop, and rock combination. To add on to all of Drew's amazing talent and musical passion, he's taken part in Chicago's music scene since his high school years.

He's been successful in such bands such as Not the Joneses', Short Arm Trick, Thrift Store Heroes,
Wally Mission, Shortstop, and Split Habit. Adding on to those accomplishments, he's played guitar for Mike Knott and Billy Carri, and toured the United States at such venue's ranging from the Cornerstone Music Festival, and the Lyon's Den.

Drew is also active in producing and recording at his self-owned studio, Thrift Store Studios. Neely is also the co-owner of Makes No Cents Records, an independent musical label bringing forth the best new musical talent. And Drew himself, is one of the best examples of just what this refreshing new talent is.

Look for the full length debut CD, appropriately named "<3", in which all the songs are under three minutes, to be released Valentine's Day '07.
