Drew had much local success with a song called Pennies and Opinions that he wrote for his band Malleus that graced their album titled in time.It received its share of air play on Radio stations such as Rock 95, The Moose, The Peak Fm and the Edge. It was on Rock 95's top 7 at 7( which spins of the 7 most requested songs of the day) for 2 weeks straight and even reached number 1 for 4 straight days.
