Bio

Drifter is the creation of childhood mates Andrew McLean and Marc-A. Pichette. After taking a backseat to other projects, the boys were finally ready to create the music that had been in the making since they were young lads, growing up in Hamilton, Ontario. The two had a brief stint as an acoustic duo, but then called upon friends and fellow musicians to help bring the music to a new level. On drum duty is Ryan Delaplante, on bass, Richard Marcotte and on keys, Stephen Daley. Individually and collectively, Drifter have over the last decade, established their selves as talented songwriters and solid musicians by being part of hundreds of shows and recording sessions. With this new project the boys have taken on a more folk rock style of music.

Andrew and Marc have a connection in their writing that is organic and alive. Drifter’s passion for music can be felt seconds into their live performances. Their music is inspired by drive and devotion to life, love and rock and roll. The band is an open-minded project that plans to always include a variety of instruments and musicians to compliment their sound.

Throughout their careers as musicians, the boys have traveled across Canada and through parts of the U.S. They have worked with producers Ian Blurton, Glen Marshall and Dan Achen, to name a few. They have finished work on their debut full length record, titled ‘Gone are the Days’ with long time inspiration, Producer Rob Lamothe. The debut album was released on Sept 9, 2006.
