- News & Observer
Drique London may be Raleigh, NC’s newest rapper to grace the scene, but his latest album, Sound of The Rising Sun boasts the lyrical content and the production ability of a veteran MC. The album’s second single, “Laybach“, featuring Carrington, ushered in positive reviews around the net, piquing the interest of avid hip-hop listeners. Drique recently gave RESPECT. a stellar interview in which he describes the roots of his NY musical vibe, his label, D.O.C., and the concept behind his latest album. - Respect Magazine
Drique London is a relatable artist, in the vein of most of North Carolina’s most known Hip-Hop artists: J. Cole, Little Brother, Rapsody. If he continues to create content like on this album, in no time London should be mentioned with that group of artists. - GrungeCake Magazine

Bio
Madrique Dashaun Sanders (who goes by the name DRIQUE LONDON) is a hip hop artist hailing from Raleigh, NC. Drique was born on August 2, 1991 in a country town called Selma, NC, but grew up back and forth from the streets of Queens, NY and Raleigh, NC. With that mixed up bringing, Drique was influenced by the best of both worlds. He describes his style as “down south resident, with up north flavor” doing his best to separate himself from the rest. Drique has been featured in numerous blogs, magazines, radio shows and hip hop shows up and down the east coast. From NY, DC, VA, Atlanta, and of course his home state North Carolina; Drique’s hard work ethic and show stopping performances deserves its buzz.
When Madrique was around 4 years old, he was introduced to Snoop Doggs “Gin and Juice” and knew from there he wanted to rap. Studying and being influenced from such artist like Snoop, DMX, Early Lil Wayne to new artist like Wale and Currency, Drique began perfecting his craft and pushing himself to one day be noticed for his artistic style and wordplay. Shortening his first name and adding London (which he described as being an off name that had nor needed any explanation due to his self-explained, yet unique, weird style), he started a label which later became D.O.C (Dreams Of Children) Music Group and took over the sounds of his local area. He soon gained more exposure and he would soon find himself performing at shows, interviews, photo shoots, and radio spots—a life which he could never have dreamed of in his earlier days.
Drique London as released over 6 mix tapes, 2 studio projects and currently promoting his first studio album ‘ The Manual’ which was released on September 7th 2011. The album and release date was in honor of his late mother, on her birthday. The first single of “The Manual” titled, “Red Chucks” was produced by Majestic. A video was shot for the single from Depth of Sound, The second single, “ The Cypher” featured King Mez and Tab-One of Kooley High, both widely respected artists out of the Carolina Hip Hop scene. Drique London has no plans on stopping and with his faith, family, and team behind him, its only up from here.
