Bio
Formed in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 2000, Driveblind quickly established themselves on the local music scene with a reputation as an oustanding live band with a loyal following. It wasn't long before the band were selling out venues in their home town and looking further afield, performing in London and Glasgow, including an appearance at the Gig on the Green festival in 2002. In March 2003, Driveblind headed across the Atlantic to perform shows in New York and Los Angeles, where a fateful weekend of gigs at the Viper Room was to change the lives of the six band members, as well as that of the booker at the Sunset Strip club, Dayle Gloria. After a brief return to Scotland, Driveblind were soon back in LA for more shows, and with Dayle now working as the band's manager, the boys left behind their day jobs in Aberdeen and set up home in Hollywood. In early August, the band signed with A&M Records. President Ron Fair was so impressed with a live recording of an LA show that he offered the band a deal sight-unseen. Having spent the past year flitting between Los Angeles, Aberdeen and London, where the band recorded their debut album with acclaimed British producer Mike Hedges, Driveblind are currently living in Southern California
