DriverDeNiro is an instrumental music project that originated from the 2004 meeting between Alessandro Zapelloni (former guitarist of Milan underground outfit NerveSound who at that time had switched to studying drums) and Ivan Foglia (ex KaosLord guitarist and keen electronic experimentalist).
After an initial phase of study and bonding, the two decided to continue the project as a duo and maintain a barebones set-up featuring electric guitar and acoustic drums alone.
Two years on from that first meeting, DriverDeNiro unleash a sound that is as instrumentally minimal as it is rhythmically and melodically complex - a style that blends instrumental rock in attitude and approach with an unconventional rhythmic take on dance.
