D'Rocc "The Gentleman" was born David. R. Pauaraisa in American Samoa on February 12, 1990 to Rev. Malae and Vaoesea Ioane. In 93 seeking a better future for him, his brothers and sisters the family relocated to the Pacific Northwest (Tacoma, WA).
DRocc started rapping at the young age of 11 with early influences of 2Pac, The Fuggees, Dr Dre, and Bob Marley. Starting in high school his in interest in having music his lifes ambition grew as he started laying down tracks both for himself and others. He created several mix tapes and started producing other talent.
In 2007 he came out with his first full length CD Lets Get To Work Volume 1. He recently followed the success of his first CD with Lets Get To Work Volume 2. Generating heavy buzz with his bangin new grooves and signature style.
His music is inspired by the "On-Going" struggle of making it out of a city not known for music. He is the epitome of an independent artist. DRocc does everything from writing his own music, recording, mixing & mastering to designing his CDs and promotion. "Like anybody else, I just wanna take care of my family" says D'Rocc.
He is currently working on his third album set to release Early 2011. Having finished his 1st music video (Parkland/Spanaway) D'Rocc has his sights set on the future with many projects to come including new mixtapes and collaborations with other upcoming local and national artists.
