Bio
Alyssa Moxley is a singer/songwriter; she is also an artist working mainly with sound and writer of texts. She studied ethnomusicology, specialising on Central Asian bards, and brings an element of their longing subjects to her lyrics and rhythmic finger-style to her guitar playing. Alongside the blues and reverby surf rock.
The rhythm section of Morgan Christophers (bass) and Oscar Challenger (drums) are long time collaborators in constructing hypnotic funk.
Morgan brings an appreciation for James Jamerson's bass style from his wide ranging tastes and Oscar Challenger plays with hints to Afro-Latin rhythms and hip hop.
The group has been playing together in London for the past year and a half. Notable shows were at the Whitechapel Gallery with the East End Film Festival and at London College of Communication's end of year show in 2011.
