Bio

New Jersey Death/Metal/Hardcore outfit Drown The Swim Team can be described in one word: energy. Their live show is a wild ride full of powerful riffs, blistering drums and devastating breakdowns. Their goal has always been to put their heart and soul into what they do, creating great music with a killer live show. The band prides themselves on musicianship and showmanship, and it shows every time they play.

DTST draws its influence from many different genres and bands. Some of the many bands that have influenced them include The Acacia Strain, As Blood Runs Black, Job For A Cowboy, Slayer, Pantera, August Burns Red, Killswitch Engage, and the list is always expanding.

Drown The Swim Team is a group of musicians that has been constantly growing since they began playing together in 2004. Under the name "Klingsor," they began to write and play shows around their hometowns in Monmouth County, New Jersey. After enjoying some moderate success and a small lineup change in 2006, DTST began to turn it up. Their first album, When Legend Becomes Fact, was recorded in 2007 and was distributed at shows and directly from the band. After hundreds of discs were given out, Ted worked on remixing their favorite tracks, as well as recording a new song for a smaller EP set for release in early summer 2010. DTST has had radio play on various college radio stations including William Paterson University radio, and their 2010 release will be heard on both college radio and satellite radio stations.

The future is bright for Drown The Swim Team. They are always writing and developing as musicians as well as a group. With more and more quality original songs entering their repertoire, they actively strive to widen their fan base whether they are on stage, in the studio, or at college.
