D.R.

Meet recording artist D.R., years of his life was spent wasted in inner city streets chasing the American dream the fast way, guns, drugs, money, and music. He says he rapped for the devil proclaiming the street life he lived, until God called him out of what he knew and spoke his destiny right into his life. Well now the Doctor, as he is affectionately called, is chasing Jesus, still believing that what he rhymes about is something he has to live daily. His passion for reaching lost souls is evident; you hear it in his music, sense it in his voice, and can see it on his face.

His heart beats for the Hartbeat, his hometown that is, of Hartford, CT, and since early 2007 D.R. has been on a mission to take back the streets in the name of Jesus. He has spearheaded the DVD documentary project Ice Breaker, an initiative to reclaim lost inner city youth; he has ministered from church services to juvenile deliqent facilities affirming that a new life is found in Jesus Christ.

Teaming up with the eclectic Izzi of Divine Production, D.R. raps on a myriad of beats ranging from Rock to R&B, but not forsaking the hard hitting hip hop tracks that create his brisk signature sound. His debut project A New Life released in late 2009, with features artist of God Made Hiphop Tru 2 Life along with a host of others. Be on the look out for D.R., this Doctor prescribes nothing but Jesus.
