Bio

Dru Blake. Born to sing. Since He was 5 years old, Dru has been singing. Along with the radio, TV theme songs. Anything that had a catchy melody or unique lyric/story…that was what Dru was interested in. And now, Dru is bringing his best to the stage.

Dru was raised in a musical family from the beginning. His father has worked in the music industry for over 30 years creating songs, producing records for Dot Records, United Artist Music and United Artists Records in Nashville, working with many mainstream Country Artist. So, it’s no wonder that Dru gravitated to music and the passion to sing anytime and any where. He just gets it naturally. It’s in His ‘Jeans’.

At the age of seven Dru Blake recorded his first song for a Disney Lullaby children’s album. You could say that He was hooked from then on. He started playing drums at age 10, and then throughout high school Dru was in the marching band where he played lead snare in the drum line. After high school, Dru took an interest in dance club disc jockeying and for the next ten years he made a career in that industry. His radio DJ influences were Bryant D. from 92 the Q, DJ Ace of 102.5 the Party, and DJ Shaun B. All of Drus life, country music and performing have been his number #1 passion.

Dru Blake has worked with several major country artist including Tanya Tucker, Cowboy Crush, Taylor Swift, Jimmy Wayne, Steve Holy, Blake Shelton and Bret Michaels. He has also worked with some of Nashville’s best recording engineers at Pat Patrick Studio and Productions learning to become a sound engineer and video editor. Drus’ experience also includes stage set up and management for a number of country artist.

Dru Blakes music influences have been Tracy Lawrence, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, and Deirks Bentley. Recently Dru traveled with Cypress Trick and performed live at Buck Wild Saloon in Nashville, as well as, Sam Hills and Sports Page in Columbia, TN. He has also performed live at Nashville Crossroads.

Singing has been Dru Blake’s passion for as long as He can remember. He’s always dreamed of making it in the music industry. And now it’s time for Dru to step up to the mic and sing. His career is just now becoming a reality after the hard work and practice to find out who He really is and, that He really does have a unique vocal style and commanding stage presence.

So, get ready. Dru Blake is beginning to fulfill his life long dream. One listen, and you’ll understand why Dru Blake is Hazardous Country.
