Bio

“Fuck ‘em if they can’t deal with it”

DrugdealerCheerleader front man Hilda on being told to calm his act down

Bored with the latest wave of soul-destroying guitar music DrugdealerCheerleader is a rock’n’roll band, pure and simple. There’s no doubt about it the music that the band is playing isn’t the most appealing to the so called trend-setters in their ivory towers – but by god it’s filled with fuel-injected passion.

More Cult than Coldplay, more New York Dolls than Travis and more Ramones than Snow Patrol…

DrugdealerCheerleader don’t care about what the trendy set perceive as cliché. They wear make-up, say motherfucker, have loud distorted guitars, pogo on stage and simply rock with no thought for those that don’t want to roll with them.

Marrying melody and energy DrugdealerCheerleader’s songs are filled with ocean-wide hooks and a devil may care attitude, enhanced by a live show that will prove that DDCL have what it takes as well as taking what they want!

Would you like to score from DrugdealerCheerleader?

DrugdealerCheerleader are:
Hilda – Vocals
Neil – Guitar
Marty – Bass
Ringo – Drums

Formed by ex members of Glitterbug and Waterbratz! DDCL have a wealth of live and recording experience between them. Collectively and separately the band have worked with Mike Howlett (The Alarm, OMD), Mike Monroe, Sven Gali and Tyla.

DDCL have recently received praise from London music scene terrorists Alabama 3, have provided a theme song for the Nickelodeon series ‘Nick Family’ as well as going down a storm at the 2004 Beautiful Days Festival.

Here’s what’s been said about them:

"An explosion of snotty attitude crossed with great songs"
Steve Beebee, Kerrang

“They are the definition of everything that is great about a rock'n'roll band - energy, songs and showmanship."
Mark Frith, Heat

All that’s left to say is go and dust off the rock’n’roll attitude put it back on and watch out for the next generation…
