Bio

Daves (Marks and Conradt) are classically-trained musicians who’ve been writing, performing, and recording music for more than two decades. First meeting at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1985, Dave and Dave were the first two musicians from the music department to attempt majoring in DRUMS. At that time, Wesleyan had produced a number of piano and vocal majors, but was ill-equipped to handle the two collective syncopated souls crazy enough to pursue ”Applied Percussion.” A curriculum was soon established under the direction of Rich Jones and the music department has never been the same since.

Joining forces as DRUMFOUNDED since 1994, Dave and Dave have been meddling in everything from theatre, television, and live performances (i.e., destroying keyboards at electronic music festivals), to composing flash cartoon music, video game tunes, commercial jingles, and award-winning, commercial-radio-morning-show theme songs (OK—maybe just one award-winning, commercial-radio-morning-show theme song).

Drumfounded’s entire collection of material is written, recorded, and produced by Daves. From Earlyears to their latest release ... DRUMFOUNDED remains engaging, unpredictable, and anything but typical.

REVIEWS

1 "DRUMFOUNDED's style is usually somewhat quirky, harmonically obtuse, sometimes and rhythmically playful almost always, and consistently clever and full of interesting twists; all with a high level of craftsmanship. Sometimes the craftsmanship isn't evident, but only when it's supposed to be that way.” –Dr. Michael Ropp

2 "DRUMFOUNDED provides a sound that rebels against unoriginal pop culture music." –Jeff Gilbreath, Reveille

3. "Annoyingly Infectious." –Joe and Timmo, 92.9 The Eagle
