DrumJam World Tour - Imagine if your band was offered the opportunity to perform overseas in Guam , Japan , Philippines and Hawaii for audiences of all ages and demographics. Would you accept the challenge? The dream became a reality this summer for the 2007 Grammy U Band Showcase winner DrumJam. With six weeks of packed-house performances at international venues, the Austin-based percussion group, DrumJam, witnessed their dreams unfolding before their very eyes. Their newest high-energy show, which includes plenty of audience interaction, wowed our military troops and their families in various bases throughout Guam , Japan , and Hawaii , as well as international audiences at other venues in Guam, the Phillippines and Portland , Oregon . With sponsorship from Budweiser International, Paul Mitchell, and the Armed Forces Entertainment, DrumJam performed over 45 shows, boarded 18 flights and traveled over 40,000 total miles. DrumJam's frontman and manager Chris Saad scheduled the tour during his last semester at St. Edward's University. A week after his graduation, he received the news that the tour was confirmed, and he would soon be living a dream that he had envisioned since he was six years old. "I'm so proud of the guys in my band for pulling off such a challenging and successful world tour. The audiences were so receptive and grateful to have us, and the experience of giving back to our troops was incredible. We can hardly wait to do it all over again." Future plans for DrumJam include tours in Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Mediterranean, as well as various US festivals and events. - Grammy.com

Bio

Imagine if Blue Man Group and Stomp made sweet love while Trans-Siberian Orchestra played in the background, later pushed 5 eggs which were then injected with radioactive current, DrumJam would be their hatch-lings. Once the high-energy, frenetic drum group takes the stage, everyone in attendance will forget about the troubles, trash their good postures and dive right into dance! The energy these guys throw at their audience is unbelievable. Their show is electrifying, yet organic. And SOOO Austin. With show-stopping illusions, an unforgettable light show, and a whole lotta grooving, this talented four-membered frenzy has severely taken music to a new level and drum like there is no tomorrow.

Last spring during SXSW, Chris Saad worked with the SXSW Music Panels under the direction of Dr. Sarah. At the same time, Chris Saad booked and promoted a sold out DrumJam independent showcase at the Zachary Scott Theater. With several industry professionals in the audience, DrumJam impressed their audience beyond belief.

Months later, DrumJam was offered the opportunity to perform overseas in Guam , Japan , Philippines and Hawaii for audiences of all ages and demographics. The dream became a reality during the summer of 2010 for the 2007 Grammy U Band Showcase winner DrumJam.
