Biography

With a voice too sweet for sorrow charged with songs almost too revealing for lovers, Boulder singer-songwriter Kate Jaworski creates music that is both personal and impactful. A deep understanding of the human condition informs her vision, guides her soulful melodies, and fills her singing with a beauty that is immediately endearing and convincing. Poured out over the subtle and intricate textures of her able band, graceful melodies alternately stimulate and soothe - giving voice to the harmony and conflict that are inseparable components of passionate human experience. Influences from folk, jazz, and classical styles come together to form unique and original shapes in the music, while the artful accompaniment by the rest of Drums and Guns maintains the focus and clarity of sound and emotion that have come to define her songs.

Friends from the College of Music at CU-Boulder, Sam Gathman and Curtis Broome, came together with Morgantown, WV singer-songwriter Kate Jaworski to start playing songs together. As the band progressed they added bassist, and fellow classmate from CU, Mitchell Montealegre, to start playing shows and recording.
