Bio

Besides what you think you already know about th emen in the photos, take the time to read this and then you will truly understand what DSC is really all about. They weren't discovered. They were not put together on "Making Da Band". They aren't so different to the point that they need to be selling their music on Mars; but they aren't the same as every other MC this-and-that you know either. When you turn on the radio these days, you are probably gonna hear some snap-and-pop, two-step music. No diss, but it seems like hip-hop has a factory that puts out new rappers with the same songs. But back to this group. Actually, this group never planned to be a group at all. Quick little two-part bio: Big brother and friends start rapping and making music in the early 90's as little brother watches and learns. Little brother recruits cousin and forms hip-hop duo, growing right in front of big brother, and doing it in a way that impresses him.

Little brother, big brother, and cousin form label [Coccroach Records], and finds other artists to put out. Other artists don'f fulfill the expectations the label sees and bail out on the fam. Fam steps back, looks at situation, and decides to take the company's creative direction in their own hands. Thus, DSC was born. No, it's not a rags to riches story, but it does have promise.

Did I mention that the members of DSC are actually the CEO, President, and VP of the label they represent? Now that's a hands-on attitude. A debut album is in the works, due out later this year. Their first single, "The Way I Am", is making a lot of noise in the underground scene. And right now, they are on the heels of releasing the first album ["Life Issues"] from their artist J-Nyce, a 20-year old R&B singer. So you can say that these guys, excuse me, business men have a lot on their plate. Also being the head of an in-demand production team [Da6 Ent.], Toni, Calvin and Marieo are working the music industry from every angle. But the music remains solid. This group is a mix of old-school hip-hop, brand new thinking, and real, genuine music. So make a little room in between your Eric B. & Rakim and Outkast cd's. Insert DSC.
